We are so excited to welcome Peter Durow as our Artistic Director! He brings a wealth of musical knowledge and experience, and we're ready for him to lead From Age to Age into our 10th season.
Peter J. Durow is delighted to become the new artistic director of From Age to Age. Since moving back to the Twin Cities in 2016, he has sung with a number of choirs and will also conduct the Concert Choir at St. Cloud State University and the adult choir and handbell choir at Advent Lutheran Church in Maple Grove, MN during the 2016-17 season. Dr. Durow has taught both at the secondary and University levels having previously served on the music faculties at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Stetson University in DeLand, Florida and SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music.
Well known as an active composer and arranger of choral music, Peter has written for public school mixed and treble choirs, professional choirs, church choirs, men’s choruses and children’s choirs. His compositions and arrangements are published in the Henry Leck Choral Series and Rodney Eichenberger Choral Series with Colla Voce Music, LLC. Additional compositions and arrangements are published and available with Heritage Music Press and MusicSpoke.
Durow received his Ph.D. in Choral Conducting / Choral Music Education from Florida State University. His earlier studies include a M.M. in Conducting from Butler University, a B.M. in Vocal Music Education from Augsburg College, and an A.A. in Liberal Arts from Bethany Lutheran College. Peter lives with his wife, Jodi, and their two children in Osseo, Minnesota.
